Psychiatrist Adult Inpatient

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is New York State’s largest multispecialty physician group, focused on delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

The attending Psychiatrist for our Adult Inpatient Unit is responsible for the provision of compassionate and evidenced-based psychiatric care to patients in one of our 30 bed adult inpatient psychiatric units. We are looking for an excellent clinician for one of our Adult Inpatient Units who has a proven track record in inpatient psychiatric evidence-based care.

* Provision of Direct Clinical Care to patients * Supervision of residents, students, social workers, nurses and other clinicians involved in the clinical care of patients * Completing comprehensive and ongoing mental health assessments, formulating treatment plans, initiating treatment, & managing psychiatric and medical issues of all patients * Providing sound judgment with regard to disposition planning * Conducting morning team rounds and providing clinical teaching * Overseeing patient flow issues, managing team data and participating in departmental and unit meetings as delineated by the Chief of Psychiatry and Inpatient Unit Chief * Conducting clinical case reviews where needed

* ABPN Board Certified Psychiatrist * Previous Inpatient Psychiatry Attending experience * Forensics and Substance Abuse specialized training is a plus * Spanish fluency is a plus
