Summary
We presently have an opportunity for a Senior Producer (web.com Tour) within our Digital department. The Senior Producer serves as the content lead for web.com Tour digital platforms, working closely with other members of the digital Content Team and the web.com Tour team to plan and develop compelling stories for use across web.com Tour websites and social media platforms. As a digital storyteller, the Senior Producer is responsible for building content that will generate audience interaction across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital strategy for web.com Tour programming - Develop, edit and program content for use on web.com Tour website and across social networks - Manage and coordinate with on-site writers and other content creators to deliver compelling content across platforms - Oversight of content budget allocated to web.com Tour coverage - Maintain websites and arenas, including checking of links and updating content - Communicate effectively across the Content Team throughout shift rotations, ensuring other producers are able to cover web.com Tour platforms as needed - Work with Content Team members to create unique packages as events develop - Adhere to brand standards and established voice across platforms - Work collaboratively with other content creators; take part in regular creative brainstorming and pitch sessions - Utilize available data to make or adjust programming decisions across platforms - Execute content on behalf of marketing and/or sales initiatives - Available to travel for content creation opportunities at key events throughout the season - Available during competition hours, which may include evenings and weekends - Adapt to changing editorial conditions in a short time frame - Additional projects as assigned
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree required. Journalism or Communications preferred. - 4-7 years experience in creating content for use on websites and social media platforms - Experience in editing and/or content management role with a digital publisher is preferred - Background in golf preferred; strong interest in golf required - Strong writing and editing skills including grammar, style and spelling - Strong knowledge of the social web including content creation, best practices, success metrics and emerging platforms - Design/photo/video editing skills are a plus
