Summary
Enterprise Records and Information Management (ERIM) is seeking a talented, passionate Intern to join our team this summer. The intern will be immersed in our project teams and will learn how a large-scale records management project is designed and implemented at PG&E.; The ERIM Records Intern will help support the compliant, efficient, and systemic control of the creation, receipt, maintenance, use and disposition of records. The ERIM Records Intern will be responsible for providing RIM guidance, records storage, retention, retrieval, and disposition guidance for all PG&E; LoBs. This position supports training, guidance documentation, and LoB liaison services company-wide. Related tasks include document, indexing, retrieval, filing, protection, retention, research, and destruction services. The successful intern will have the opportunity to lead and/or support activities as described above working with a team of experienced Records Analysts. The intern will gain knowledge of the organization through the work they will be performing.
Responsibilities
* Assists with the quality control, inspection, security, and authorization for records destruction * Provide RIM support to Lines of Business to ensure company records are traceable, verifiable, accurate, and complete. * Assist with the development and facilitation of training to meet ERIM requirements * Assist with the development and publishing of standards, policies, procedures, and job aids * Measure and track results to ensure quality of work and identify process improvement opportunities
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum** * Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Information Technology, Library Systems or equivalent experience (students MUST be continuing education towards degree during and/or after internship) **Desired** * Professional certification (CRM, IGP) related to Records Management, IT, Library and Information Systems, or Information Governance * 2+ years of related Records and Information Management (RIM) experience * Training development and facilitation experience * Proficient computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) * Use of SharePoint and the creation of pages, uploading documents and, the application of user permissions * Involvement in ARMA, AIIM or other related organization(s) * Knowledge of ISO 15489, US DOD 5015.02 * Knowledge of RIM legal compliance and audit governance * Understanding of file plan and taxonomy development * Strong verbal and written communication * Able to present complex data and technical information in a simple and easy-to-understand manner * Able to build working relationships across the organization * Excellent problem solving skills; process design and improvement skills; and change management skills
