Associate Director of Operations

Provide leadership to the Comparative medicine operations group at a site and global level. Provide viviarium oversight regarding facilities and equipment resource management.

* Assure that the care and welfare of laboratory animals is provided in accordance with local regulations and AAALAC International Guidelines. * Provide operational oversight of multiple facilities. * Manage talent through focused colleague career development and performance management. * Member of the La Jolla Comparative Medicine Leadership Team. * Responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate operational quality assurance programs. * Act as an interface with the customers in Research and Development lines, Global Operations and Business Technology. * Lead operational excellence projects by defining metrics and key performance indicators.

* BS/BA required, MBA, DVM or Ph.D. preferred * CMAR required, Project Management Certification, Lean Six Sigma (Blake belt) Certification preferred. **Physical/Mental Requirements** * Ability to critically think and proactively problem solve. Ability to perform programmatic analysis utilizing metrics and other mathematical tools.
