Summary
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for customer acquisition that maximized ROAS from digital media efforts at PetSmart and driving direct ecommerce sales. This role manages budget, strategy and execution of digital marketing projects as part of the Digital team and works in partnership with internal and external teams to increase conversion and revenue. This person will have an extensive knowledge in paid search, display, remarketing, PLAs, LIAs, and affiliate marketing, excellent project management skills, and strong analytic capabilities in order to drive PetSmart to achieve its performance based goals.
Responsibilities
* Monitoring and developing strategies to grow market share through digital marketing tools including search, PLAs, affiliates, remarketing, display and other digital performance media programs * Develops digital marketing strategies to achieve business goals and gains alignment with partners * Drives goals and a deep understanding of KPIs for each marketing channel to identify and report on business drivers * Monitors progress and reports on weekly/monthly/quarterly progress * Develops traffic forecast each quarter in conjunction with the finance partner * Monitors progress weekly/monthly/quarterly * Directs execution all aspects of paid search, remarketing, and affiliate campaigns that support online and in store initiatives for specific business units. * Work proactively with the external search agency to implement recommendations for new and existing SEM/SEO programs, including but not limited to: * Set priorities and goals with the agency of record * Work closely with internal partners to support new initiatives * Keyword, ad copy, & destination URL review and approval * Landing page optimizations projects * Support the creation & delivery of various search reports to communicate campaign performance * Monitors and reports progress of initiatives * Assist with creation of annual digital media plans, including vendor monetization opportunities * Maintain project timelines and follow up with teams on deliverables * Manages budget and invoice reconciliation * Provides day to day management of key business relationships * Assesses new opportunities, including developing test plans
Ideal Candidate
* Results orientated with outstanding project management skills * Strong analytical and problem solving abilities * Ability to manage and communicate digital marketing as a business strategy * Strong ability to effectively prioritize workload and perform in a fast pace environment * Understanding of third-party bid management and natural search tools * Working knowledge of web analytics software (Omniture Site Catalyst & Google Analytics preferred) * Understanding of HTML, CSS and code structure as it relates to SEO * Experience working with a Content Management System (CMS) **Education And Experience:** * 5-7 years experience in Digital Marketing, preferably in a retail environment * Proven track record with a multi-million dollar media budget * Intermediate to advanced knowledge of search engine optimization concepts and paid search marketing programs * Intermediate to advanced knowledge of remarketing programs * Intermediate to advanced knowledge of affiliate programs * Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required
