Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Information Technology, the Director of Enterprise Applications' responsibilities will include the work as well as oversight of application planning, recommendation, implementation, development, maintenance and support of, including, but not limited to: * Colleague ERP system * Ellucian Recruiter * Blackboard learning management system * College campus portal Business intelligence reporting, database management and website content management system.
Responsibilities
As a 'working' director, this position will be additionally be responsible for: * project implementation and manage 3-4 staff * responsible for delivering academic and administrative software solutions to support the operations of the College * contribute to the development of system policies, standards and procedures * supervise the creation of appropriate documentation of all system processes and work flows * work with departments to identify needs, solutions and provide recommendations for improvements * lead, coach and develop high-performing technical team to include individual and team performance objectives, direction and goals * providing mentoring and counseling of staff to accomplish goals
Ideal Candidate
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a degree with an orientation toward automation and process improvement; or approved equivalent combination of education and experience * Minimum three (3) years' successful experience managing a complex, heterogeneous system environment, including supervisory experience * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community * Successful academic technology experience at a higher-education institution or an equivalent of work-related experience * Knowledge of current trends in academic technologies and enterprise systems * Demonstrated leadership skills with capacity to thrive in a rapidly changing environment * Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot software systems and correcting or suggesting design changes, as well as examining and re-engineering operations and procedures * Experience with designing, implementing and managing web and mobile applications and services, business intelligence/data warehouse services and related infrastructure technologies. * Strong service orientation * Proven ability to guide application architecture development in order to integrate disparate systems * Must be able to successfully complete background check clearance
