Summary
PeerStreet is a leading marketplace for investing in real estate backed loans. We are seeking an experienced Analyst for our Real Estate Credit Team. The Analyst will be working in a fast-paced environment and interacting closely with originators, internal teams and various third parties involved in financing transactions.
Responsibilities
* Assist in underwriting efforts for residential and commercial real estate debt financing transactions. * Conduct underwriting, due diligence, financial modeling, valuation and credit analysis. * Manage transactions and work closely with third-parties involved in diligence to ensure proper underwriting procedures are followed. * Interface with third-parties to compile required data and information, and resolve diligence related issues while mitigating risks. * Evaluate new transaction packages for completeness and risk management. * Perform preliminary title reviews. * Support loan asset management initiatives of the existing real estate debt portfolio including investor requests, compliance, reporting, post-closing requirements and continued portfolio monitoring. * Perform other related duties or special ad hoc projects as assigned. * Exercise discretion, independent judgment and problem-solving abilities to complete work assignments. * Communication with PeerStreet lenders.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Real Estate preferred. * Minimum 2 years of experience required in lending, real estate, finance or a related field. * Strong analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required. * Proficiency in Excel required. * Ability to multitask while balancing attention to detail.
