Summary
The Marketing Specialist will manage the development of digital marketing projects and activities to help increase awareness around Pearson products, services, and thought leadership.
Responsibilities
* Manage the development of digital marketing communications. * Manage the design and development of email campaigns, from initial concept/strategy, through design, and execution. * Provide conference and event planning support, including conference strategy development and serving as pre- and post-conference planning lead . * Maintain customer databases and email lists. * Coordinate and disseminate information, samples, and marketing collateral to the sales force. * Engage with sales and marketing leaders around marketing initiatives, events, and customer-facing activities. * Coordinate a number of scheduled marketing activities for strategic initiatives and our products, including marketing research surveys, planning marketing forums and development of marketing/sales brochures. * Provide customer service to customers, internal stakeholders and the sales force as needed. * Assist with special marketing projects as assigned. **Outcomes:** * Handle marketing communications and email campaigns and components of events successfully * Provide excellent customer service to internal and external audiences.
Ideal Candidate
**Essential** * Bachelor's degree * Ability to quickly learn in-house database and systems applications * Ability to organize, prioritize and plan work activities and schedule for themselves and others in order to use time efficiently to meet task demands * Ability to foster positive (and fun!) working relationships with team members and other company stakeholders * Ability to understand and plan for additional resources needed in order to meet set goals and objectives and to be thorough with efforts * Ability to problem solve, propose new solutions when issues arise and provide a high level of customer service to meet commitments * Ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction in positive way, communicate delays with deadlines/tasks and take responsibility for own actions * Ability to and availability to work hours required and extra as needed in order to get the job done and reach goals * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the organization, adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands * Ability to become familiar with and follow company policies and procedures * 1-3 years of previous marketing related work experience **Desirable** * Experience working with a sales force * Proficiency in Google Apps (Gmail, Google Drive) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Dreamweaver)
