Social Innovation Internship

Successful applicant for this role will join a high-energy group that is responsible for driving PayPal’s social innovation strategy, engaging key stakeholders, and measuring and sharing the company’s social impact. Members of this team act as consultants, connectors and program builders - partnering with leaders across the company and pulling levers to drive social impact through the business. This work encompasses two key focus areas: financial inclusion and participation and powering charitable giving.

This is a unique role at PayPal with an opportunity for driving impact. This person will support the Social Innovation team with impact measurement, content development and reputation building activities. Over the course of the internship, this person will be responsible for the following: **Impact Measurement** * Conduct research on social impact measurement trends and companies/organizations doing innovative work in this space. * Support our efforts to identify social impact methodologies and metrics that can be used to demonstrate PayPal’s societal impact. * Help conduct data analysis and support the development of impact measurement tools. **Content Development** * Conceptualize and help create people- and data-centric content to share PayPal’s social impact internally and externally. This may include infographics, blog posts, videos, etc. * Build a bank of impact assets, including statistics, case studies, photos and other resources that can be used to help tell PayPal’s social innovation story. * Help manage the process of updating of the Social Innovation narrative and key messaging tools. **Reputation Building** * Help develop a stakeholder database. * Support efforts to establish a reputational baseline on PayPal as a socially responsible company. * Support the planning and facilitation of stakeholder conversations to share PayPal’s Social Innovation vision/plans and draw out actionable insights.

* Graduate student preferred but we’re open to undergraduate candidates who can demonstrate the right knowledge, experience and passion for this role. * The ideal candidate for this role will bring energy and a strong passion for social impact. He/she will be capable of building working relationships with partners within the company and delight in moving from ideas to tangible results. This lead will need to have exceptional general management skills. * Experience in social innovation, financial inclusion, social impact measurement and/or content creation desired. * The ideal candidate should be highly motivated with demonstrated strong academic and professional performance. The position requires someone who is strategic and execution-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. * Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort with data analysis. * Aptitude to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive towards results.
