Database Security Engineer (Oracle)

The Data Platform Security team works on the engineering challenges specific to delivering security and compliance on highly available, highly scalable systems. We’re looking for an individual who can think outside the box but still deliver solid solutions, is excited by delivering automated and self-healing systems, and who wants to rise to the challenge of always-on security and continuous patching.

* 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience, prefer RAC, Goldengate a plus * Extensive experience with Oracle patching, configuration, health and performance * Experience with Oracle EM provisioning pack or similar tools a plus * Strong skills in one or more of Python,Java,Perl or shell and familiar with Agile methodologies * Strong interest in designing innovative approaches to security and engineering problems primarily on Oracle, but also on MySQL and NoSQL domains * Able to work independently or cooperatively to deliver results * Relevant degree or professional experience in database management * Familiarity with industry standards and regulations applicable to financial institutions in areas of security and privacy such as SOX, GLBA, ISO2700x, NIST and COBIT is a plus * CISSP, CISM, PMP, and Oracle certifications a plus
