Associate – Real Estate, Direct Investments

Partners Group is a global private markets investment manager with over EUR 42 billion in investment programs under management in private equity, private debt, private real estate and private infrastructure. The firm manages a broad range of investment programs and customized portfolios for an international clientele of institutional investors such as pension funds, insurance companies and sovereign wealth funds who are seeking direct exposure to individual private markets assets.

In this position you will work directly with the real estate team to underwrite, evaluate, structure, and close real estate investments across the United States. Partners Group invest-ment capabilities span the spectrum from value-added to opportunistic investments in both equity and debt.

* Quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective real estate investments as well as monitoring current investments * Perform various tasks related to market research, internal requests and marketing efforts * Be part of deal teams and write investment recommendations * Write investment committee memorandum * Support capital raising initiatives including management and analysis of internal databases and deal statistics

* Bachelor degree from a top university with a coursework emphasis on Accounting, Finance, Economics and/or Real Estate * Master’s Degree a plus * Up to 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably 2 years at a top-tier investment bank and 2 years at either a private equity firm, real estate developer or advisory firm * Excellent quantitative skills; preferably with experience building real estate valuation models and distribution waterfalls * Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ARGUS * Interpersonal skills with a strong desire to learn and succeed * Strong oral and written communication skills
