Summary
Civil Engineering Tech (CET)/Resident Engineer is responsible to monitor the subcontractor on site and to act as the representative for the Construction Project Manager supporting the T4 Program based at the William J. Hughes Technical Center and throughout the United States and its territories.
Responsibilities
The CET must have a thorough knowledge of the scope of work, drawings, specifications, general and site specific safety. It is the CET's responsibility to monitor the subcontractor for quality, security and safety at all times. The CET assists the Engineer in application of principles, methods, and techniques of civil engineering technology, reviews project specifications and confers with the Engineer concerning assistance required, such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions, design changes, and reports. This worker prepares reports detailing tests conducted and their results, including weekly progress reports and construction diaries. Continuously monitors the subcontractor’s performance and progress and shall advise the Parsons team when performance and progress is not in accordance with the construction contract and/or approved baseline schedule.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, however, not required. * Must have minimum of 5 years in construction or related industry with out degree * The candidate should have general knowledge of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical construction. * The candidate should be able to read, comprehend, and interpret construction drawings and specifications. * The candidate should be able to maintain and document construction projects per company and federal guidelines. * May be required to lift up to 40 pounds * Applicants selected for employment will be subject to a federal background investigation and must meet additional eligibility requirements for access to classified information or materials.
