Web Application Support Engineer

We are currently looking for a seasoned Web Application Support Engineer to join our team. This is an opportunity to work on our Production Support team which supports the entire company. Parkside Lending, unlike a majority of the lenders, has a proprietary LOS (Loan Origination System) which presents a unique and exciting opportunity for the right candidate. Engineering at Parkside Lending currently consists of PHP, MySQL, jQuery, Less, Bootstrap and HTML. We also use Git, Ansible, Docker, Jira and a few other tools to go along with our Kanban workflow.

- Taking ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution - Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve customer issues - Following a standard SDLC process - Ability to work both individually and in a team environment and work on several projects simultaneously - Ensuring proper recording and closure of all issues

**What we are looking for:** - 3+ years of experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, MySQL and JavaScript - Capable of implementing both short-term & long-term code fixes to bugs - Technical support or customer consulting experience - Strong problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Experience with Database Design and Optimization (MySQL preferred) - Must be able to articulate advanced technical solutions and concepts to both business and technical audiences - Availability on call to address critical customer problems requiring immediate assistance **Bonus Points:** - Mortgage or Finance Industry experience - Experience with Jira - Investigating and improving application performance
