Visual Designer

As a visual designer, you will play a critical role in the product design team to develop pixel-perfect designs for new product features, enhancements, and maintenance. You will design products for our listeners, music makers and advertisers; across a variety of platforms - web, phones, tablets, and consumer devices. Responsibilities: * Design and maintain cohesive visual interface design across multiple platforms: web, mobile, tablet, infographics, consumer electronic devices and more * Translate concepts into visual design with high attention to detail that illustrate sound functionality and simplicity * Contribute to an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, product managers, engineers, producers and other partners to deliver polished final product * Take visual design from concept to execution, speccing and preparing engineer ready assets. Review engineering builds and provide feedback on pixel perfect implementation * Identify creative solutions, handle occasional chaos well, communicate effectively and remain calm under pressure

Requirements: * 3+ years experience as a visual designer with experience in designing for mobile and the web * Up-to-date understanding of design principles, emerging technologies and best practices * Experience designing beautiful and simple data-driven interfaces using fundamental data visualization concepts * Proficiency in common design tools, including: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator * A strong portfolio that demonstrates your visual design thinking, solutions and core craft skills. Ideal portfolios will highlight native mobile (or mobile web) product experience. * Understand how design impacts development and a knack for constructing dynamic, interactive designs that are technically feasible * Thorough understanding of responsive design, a plus but not required * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
