Summary
Pandora's Revenue Accountant will provide support for the application of consistent revenue recognition policies and procedures for the Company’s advertising and subscription revenue.
Responsibilities
* Process, record, reconcile, and analyze advertising revenue, subscription revenue, and deferred revenue. * Support the Senior Revenue Accountants in the following daily, month-end, and quarter close activities. **Revenue Transactions:** * Assist with the review and interpretation of revenue contracts and consumer transactions to determine proper accounting in accordance with Pandora's policies and GAAP including, but not limited, to ASC 605-25. This will involve documenting financial and accounting conclusions related to revenue transactions. * Assist Senior Revenue Accountant to provide monthly revenue reporting. * Assist Revenue team with preparation for ASC 606 (new revenue recognition guidance) * Collaborate with legal, sales, client services, and other groups across the business on non-standard transactions, new products, and other Company initiatives. * Preparing revenue and deferred revenue forecast to actuals analysis, and reports for internal and external reporting related to the revenue transactions. * Assist Senior Revenue Accountants to perform various end-of-quarter reports including: revenue fluctuation analysis, subscriber counts and top customer reports and other ad hoc analyses as requested. * Assist with the testing and implementation of revenue-related projects * Assist with assessing new product initiatives to ensure they are compliant with Company revenue recognition policies and GAAP
Ideal Candidate
* CPA License or actively working towards a CPA * 2 years relevant work experience in revenue accounting * Working knowledge of ASC 605-25, and experience in reviewing revenue related contracts (Highly Preferred: Internet Advertising Bureau, online advertising digital media contracts). * Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as internal control/SOX requirements. * BS Degree in Accounting or Finance. * Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. * Excellent analytical and organization skills. * Ability to work independently within tight deadlines and balance workload effectively. * A team player who is able to work collaboratively within the group as well as across business units/functions.
