Summary
As a Budget Planning and Analysis Intern, you will be a part of the team that handles all Ad Sales operating expense reporting, analysis, and business planning for Pandora. In other words, you will have an opportunity to learn what it takes to run a major technology company as a business partner to our large sales organization. What are we looking for? Are you currently an undergrad student at an accredited university majoring in Finance, Business, Economics, and/or Accounting? Are you graduating either in 2017 or 2018? Are you comfortable working with numbers and Microsoft Excel?
Responsibilities
* Assist budget planning & analysis business partners in supporting the sales team with general business analysis that includes * weekly and monthly expense reporting to drive timely decision making * Build detailed financial reports and models to track and analyze operating expenses and their impact on the departmental budget * Assist with ad-hoc projects for sales management analyzing data to drive insightful analytics * Support the monthly and quarterly close and re-forecasting process through detailed and accurate expense forecasts by department
Ideal Candidate
* Currently enrolled student majoring in Finance, Business, Economics, and/or Accounting with strong academic credentials and graduating in December 2017 or May/June 2018 * Solid understanding of financial concepts (accruals, forecasting, etc.) * Strong attention to detail, proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint; advanced Excel skills a plus * Demonstrated comfort working with numbers and analyzing financial data, either through prior internship experience or school projects * Ability to learn new technologies quickly
