Summary
As an Accounting Intern, you will be a part of a great team that is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of the Company’s general accounting, and financial reporting for Pandora. From this internship, you will get a unique firsthand experience of how a hybrid tech/ music company operates financially, as well as the fun culture created at our headquarters. What are we looking for? Are you currently an undergrad student at an accredited university majoring in Finance, Business, Economics, and/or Accounting? Are you comfortable working with numbers and Microsoft Excel? Are you passionate about music? If you answered yes to all the above we’d love to talk to you! You have the opportunity to utilize educational knowledge and experience to perform numerous month end close tasks, ad-hoc projects, and audit related responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detailed oriented, self-starter, outgoing, and is team player. This individual must also enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and is able to balance multiple projects at a time. A summer internship at Pandora is a terrific way to learn business skills, partner with a mentor, and get real-world experience before graduation.
Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively and communicate often with all finance teams, including Tax and FP&A * Participate in monthly close process, including preparing account reconciliations * Assist with ad hoc projects * Assist in maintaining and updating internal documentation for policies and procedures * Administrative support for various accounting functions * Assist with other accounting projects/areas as necessary
Ideal Candidate
* Currently enrolled students entering Junior/ Senior years majoring in Accounting and/or Finance, Business, or Economics, with strong academic credentials. * Solid understanding of corporate accounting concepts * Proficient with various MS applications including Excel * Strong organizational and time management skills * Ability to be flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs * Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
