Cup Maintenance Technician

* Conducts specific cup machine operational training for new operators. * Facilitates manufacturing processes associated with cup forming operations. * Makes cup machine adjustments and repairs to improve production, increase safety and reduce cost, waste and downtime. * Troubleshoots causes of machine malfunctions. Makes appropriate adjustments and repairs to ensure that qualities of the cups meet specifications and that machines operate properly. * Performs predictive maintenance to include limited rebuilding or replacement of worn parts prior to machine failure. * Participates on department teams and special projects as required to implement improvements for cup machine performance. * Assist in developing innovative solutions to match machine tooling and other mechanisms to product design. * Evaluates tooling requirements for new business and makes recommendations for changes needed. * Performs other related duties to contribute to the success of the operation as assigned by supervision.

* Basic understanding of machinery. * Ability to use hand tools to remove, install, and adjust parts of machine. * Ability to perform simple calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and applies good mathematical reasoning. Able to convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions, and use decimals to the thousandths. * Ability to take and interpret measurements from a tape measure, caliper and dial indicators. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently and in a team environment. * Positive work attitude and willingness to cooperate. * Required to stand to perform all duties of the job. . * Ability to lift 50 lbs.
