Assistant Graphic Designer

Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. and its subsidiaries is a leading specialty retailer rooted in the action sports, fashion and music influences of the California lifestyle. The Company sells a combination of branded and proprietary casual apparel, accessories and footwear designed to appeal to teens and young adults. As of May 14, 2015 the Company operated 605 stores in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.

Design and execute marketing collateral within a variety of touch points such as signage, social assets, in-store displays, and seasonal window presentations.

Work both collaboratively and independently to ensure an elevated, aspirational, on-brand experience through all designs.

Grow knowledge of brand standards such as collateral and fixture sizes, printing materials, and seasonal calendars to create and evolve the uniquely PacSun experience by way of our brand positioning and execution.

Assist in the conceptualization and ideation of any given project as needed.

• Develop and design graphic solutions utilizing seasonal assets to be utilized in-store and online.
• Work with internal team to creatively problem solve for marketing needs.
• Grow and maintain library of standardized sign-kit templates.
• Prioritize, and self-manage owned projects as to be completed by the set release dates, having been approved by all appropriate marketing personnel.
• Build an omnipresent GSOM experience by way of all creative delivered.

• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite on a Mac platform.
• Industry experience preferred.
• Must have knowledge / understanding of fashion industry / retail environment.
• BFA, BA or other design related degree desired.
• Illustration and graphic design ability.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to communicate creative ideas effectively.
