Vehicle Integration Engineer

PACCAR is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of premium light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF nameplates. PACCAR also designs and manufactures advanced diesel engines, provides financial services, information technology, and distributes truck parts related to its principal business.

PACCAR is seeking energetic, independent engineers with interest in creating, defining, and launching the next generation of industry-leading trucks. Scope of work includes analysis of potential new product designs, evaluation of customer requirements, definition of vehicle and system-level targets, defining control function requirements, and validation of vehicle level improvements to ensure superior customer satisfaction.

* Identify, develop and incorporate advanced automotive technologies into PACCAR products. * Prioritization of projects to fulfill the desired launch dates. * Collect requirements by interacting with customers and cross-functional teams to define functional requirements. * Build, maintain and utilize functional Simulink models to design, document and communicate vehicle and powertrain requirements. * Champion development of vehicle functions with cross-functional teams. * Track design concepts and vehicle functionality through design and testing phases, and provide support for validation activities. * Work with global teams to deliver common, cost-efficient solutions PACCAR-wide (Up to 10% travel may be required).

* BS in Engineering or related field required; MS in Engineering or related field and PE license preferred. * Understanding of designing, developing, and validating automotive technologies. * Experience in modeling and simulation of dynamic systems, preferably automotive background. * Proficiency in Mathematical modeling systems such as: Mathworks Simulink/Stateflow, AVL Cruise, GT Power,etc. * Ability to communicate complex concepts or data in a simple-yet-accurate manner. * Requires independent judgment and effective decision making skills.
