Radar or Software Engineer

The Open and Embedded Systems Group (102) provides support in the area of open architecture (OA) radar processors, including the design, development, test, and integration of prototype processor hardware and software. Group 102 is in need of software development support to assess and develop prototype radar processors that are based on the Air Force Radar Processor OA model, and current industry processor offerings. This requisition is for software engineering support (one Engineer II) to participate in radar processor software infrastructure and mode development

* Development of radar signal processing kernels for SAR and GMTI applications. * Optimization of radar processing software. * Development and testing of radar processor prototypes. * Evaluation of prime contractor radar processor solutions through prototyping and benchmarking activities. * Radar processor / middleware benchmarking * Documentation of benchmarking results

* Candidate will have a MS with 3 years of experience, or a BS with 5 years of experience in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent field. * Candidate will have an understanding of open architecture radar processor architectures. * Candidate will have an understanding of modern software development techniques and cutting-edge hardware is also required. * The candidate must be proficient in industry standard middleware solutions, and have 2+ years of C++ / OO development experience. * The candidate is desired to have 2+ years of experience in sensor system development.
