Responsibilities
The Director of Property Management will help drive the growth of our portfolio, implement best practices and a have a passion for property management! **Key Responsibilities:** * Be an energetic coach, leader and mentor to our growing property management team – be excited to drive and lead change! * Help drive business growth and strategy development; Negotiates new 3rd party management agreements and works to extend/renew existing agreements. * Maintain key relationships with third party owners; resolve critical impact tenant relations issues. * P&L responsibility for the Commercial & Residential Property Management business units. * Lead the property plan development process and seek to improve strategies for enhancing asset economic performance. * Develop and manage property KPIs, implement necessary action plans accordingly. * Engage in the development and implementation of marketing, leasing and tenant retention programs. * Ensure accurate and timely reporting to owners, clients and investors; regularly tracks budget variances and ensures smooth recovery process.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years’ experience in property management with significant marketing or managerial responsibility. * Certified Property Manager or Real Property Administrator designations preferred. * Michigan Real Estate License (or willingness to obtain license immediately upon hire). * Ability to proficiently use various Microsoft Office applications and applicable property management software (Yardi Voyager experience STRONGLY preferred). * Exceptional oral, written and presentation skills. * Successfully works in fast paced environment, ability to multitask is essential. * Can creatively problem solve - a strong ability to think and communicate strategically. * Ability to successfully build relationships with a wide range of people from peers to investors and vendors.
