Vice President of Operations

OwnLocal is a fun-loving and hardworking Austin-area startup with a crazy plan to help local media companies survive by providing digital services to their small business advertisers. We're a leader in digital advertising solutions for local media companies globally—we partner with more than 2,600 media companies and operate in North America, Europe, and Australia.

You have past experience working cross-functionally with HR, sales, accounting, and customer support to develop useful performance metrics, training programs, and effective processes that scale. You’ve been instrumental in seeing companies through pivotal and transitional times without breaking a sweat (at least that people could see!). You are an operational fortune teller. You can implement changes now to help us scale to where we want to be in five years. This is not your first rodeo: you’re not opposed to wrangling cattle or hog tying, and you can clear your fair share of bullshit. You're ready to mold the success of OwnLocal and be a driven mentor for its people.

* Establish policies and procedures that promote company culture and vision * Evaluate performance of management using data and metrics * Help develop and direct the management of information technology * Check in with team leads and direct reports to advise them * Serve as a branch between our company and the CEO * Oversee the following departments: Customer Experience, HR, Operations, Marketing

**You should probably apply if you meet these minimum requirements** * 10+ years experience as a leader on a successful Operations team * Have proven experience effectively managing leadership across different teams * Have developed and implemented companywide successful policies for communication, budget, and IT * Have managed multiple direct reports **You should really seriously apply if you are also good at any of the following** * Facilitating impactful and meaningful meetings * Being an effective mentor for employees looking for movement vertically and laterally * Cracking the proverbial whip whilst making everyone feel like your magician’s assistant * Enjoy having fun at work and making new friends
