Summary
The Software Developer is responsible for enhancements, maintenance, implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation of medical management applications for health plans and healthcare delivery organizations.
Responsibilities
* Develop detailed technical solutions for assigned projects. * Produce software components, interfaces, classes, and functions, in order to implement solutions. * Create complete and accurate documentation, both within the code being created, and externally as input to the documentation team, or in the form of technical white-papers or other publications. * Test and debug software to ensure correct behavior, including unit and regression tests. * Complete all assigned software projects on time and within budget. * Work in a team setting.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science or a related field. A combination of education and experience may be substituted. * 3+ years of professional experience, developing enterprise software products. * Knowledge of relational databases, Java, Spring, MyBatis, Web Services, JMS, Tomcat or a similar application server. * Detailed knowledge and experience with the software development life-cycle, agile methodologies, including experience in best-practices associated with software design, development, testing and documentation. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex, technical concepts clearly and effectively.
