Summary
Outbrain is seeking an Accounting professional to help us continue to transform our growing global operations. You’ll not only ensure accurate and compliant records and reporting, but will also help drive process improvements and efficiencies in our global accounting organization. You’ll also provide timely insights to the senior executives at Outbrain, enabling them to make informed business decisions. You’ll report into the Assistant Corporate Controller, and will be responsible for the books and records of our Headquarters in the US, as well as ownership of the global consolidation process.
Responsibilities
* You’ll be responsible for the timely preparation, review, and completion of monthly and quarterly journal entries for various general ledger accounts in our US and Brazilian operations. * You’ll own the global consolidation process, collaborating with international accounting managers. * You’ll ensure that all journal entries, balance sheet and other account reconciliations are properly performed, explained, and supported in accordance with US GAAP and SOX. * You’ll own the internal financial reporting, on a consolidated basis, for the total Company, including preparing and reviewing balance sheet, income statements and cash flow statements on a monthly, quarterly, and year-end basis. You’ll also prepare and analyze quarter schedules for communication with senior management. * You’ll work to continuously improve processes and procedures on the team, with the ultimate goals of reducing time to close and enhancing Senior Management’s understanding of business results.
Ideal Candidate
* A CPA and a minimum of 6 years of experience will ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX. * Advanced proficiency with Excel and a strong systems background will be integral in analyzing & reviewing detailed accounting information * International experience, particularly with a multi-currency environment will strengthen ability to work with EU, APAC, Brazil, and Israel offices. * Strong track record driving process and procedure change, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills will be key in continuing to improve our environment.
