Responsibilities
* Operates hand tools (regular and powered), such as drill or hand held grinder, to modify and prepare housings for installations. May use fittings, jigs, and fixtures and may use measuring tools to verify dimensions. * Assembles wires, insulation, and electrical components such as resistors and capacitors, following method layouts. * Installs electrical assemblies and hardware in housing. * Tests assembled instruments for circuit continuity and operational reliability. * Analyzes test results and repairs or adjusts instruments according to analysis. * Records test results in a standard format. * May issue CPAR (Corrective Preventative Action Request) for any non-compliance reviews and corrects any non-conformances as noted on the Re-work Sheet provided by QA. * Calibrates instruments according to specifications. * Uphold the Company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork. * Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct. * It is the responsibility of every Rapiscan Systems employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem. * Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business. * - See more at: http://jobs.rapiscansystems.com/jobsearch/job-details/electronics-technician/9615/#sthash.FK1JTXdk.dpuf
Ideal Candidate
* Associate's Degree or equivalent vocational training in Electronics preferred * 2+ years of experience in prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic and electromechanical subsystems, PCBs, and computer and networking hardware preferred. * Must be knowledgeable in Electronics and be able to read schematics and mechanical drawings as required in building prototypes. * Proven track record of performing within tight schedules with minimal supervision.
