Summary
OrthoVirginia is seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator for its Tysons Physician Office. The Administrative Coordinator is a working supervisor role and will oversee the essential functions of the office
Responsibilities
* Oversees the patient experience from intake to check-out and ensures excellent customer service for all patients * Coordinates with office manager to ensure appropriate coverage for staff, manages schedule requests, and maintains office time and attendance tracking in Payroll System * Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary to ensure that appropriate staffing levels are maintained * Provides timely coaching and feedback to staff on fulfillment of job duties and patient services * Coordinates and facilitates patient care according to accepted accreditation standards * Functions as an administrative support specialist and able to provide back-up support in various administrative areas. * Participates in special projects for office location
Ideal Candidate
* A minimum of one year in a lead/supervisory role and at least four years in a medical office secretarial or surgical scheduling role is required. * Ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision. * Demonstrated skill in dealing with interpersonal issues and customer relations. * Ability to organize and communicate clearly. Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information. * Advanced knowledge of basic office equipment, Microsoft Office, and practice management systems. High School diploma required, some college preferred.
