Market Intelligence Manager

Principal Responsibilities: - Build frameworks to analyze and generate marketplace insights, through synthesis of disparate industry data sources/information - Identify key asset management industry trends – including client segment developments – to keep business units educated and guide the annual corporate strategic planning process - Define and develop ongoing KPI dashboards to measure firm progress against strategic plan, identity opportunities and threats, and develop implications - Leverage industry databases to analyze and provide actionable, data-driven insights and recommendations, and answer critical business questions - Translate conceptual business needs into specific research and analysis plan Act as liaison between strategy team and cross-functional teams

Competencies for Success/Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in asset management or management consultancy - Ability to synthesize external industry sources, internal metrics, and research to generate business and market intelligence - Ability to leverage industry databases such as Simfund, eVestment, Morningstar Direct - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional groups and connect the dots on relevant business issues - Highly quantitative, data-driven, and detail-orientated - Ability to solve problems and develop frameworks in ambiguous situations or when data is incomplete - Structured thinker with strong project management skills - Strong written and visual communication skills (e.g., PowerPoint) Proficiency in Excel and other modeling/analytical or statistical tools
