We’re seeking an exceptional Frontend Engineer to join our lean Engineering team as we define, prototype, and build web apps for our customers and for our team. Every engineer at Opendoor has an outsized impact, and you'll lead the development of projects that define the future of the company.
- Build apps from scratch, as well as develop existing applications.
- Guide the team in making intelligent and pragmatic technical trade-offs.
- Design and implement user-facing products and internal workflow tools.
- Apply deep understanding of web technologies to reason about engineering / design tradeoffs.
- Become a domain expert in real estate.
We’re looking for teammates who bring:
- Care about building an app right - with attention to pixels and clean, well-tested code
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
- Passion and an understanding of the nuances of web technologies
- Good grasp of Angular (or similar frameworks) and the concepts behind it
- Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components and a strong sense for good UI/UX
- Experience building large, modular and maintainable JavaScript code bases
Bonus points:
- Expertise in server side programming
- You love delighting customers with honest, transparent products and experiences
