Summary
Open Road Integrated Media is seeking an experienced candidate for the role of Senior Sales Manager. This role will play a leading role in maximizing the sales performance of a growing list of titles from this premier publisher. The Senior Sales Manager reports to the SVP, Sales & Business Development. Candidates should have merchandising/sales experience with digital product, eBooks, or apps and be looking to join a collaborative team in a start-up environment. The successful candidate should have strong merchandising experience and a passion for selling including the ability to measure campaign effectiveness and use the available data.
Responsibilities
* Manage relationships with key online retailers, including specialty retailers; as well as libraries, and educational suppliers in the eBook marketplace * Responsible for establishing all promotions, including coordinating with the marketing leads * Responsible for following up with managing editorial and retailers on all promotions to ensure proper execution and measurement and ultimate success * Provide leading guidance on how to use data to measure the merchandising and drive related improvements * Stay up-to-date with new retail merchandising, promotional opportunities, and technological advancements and report findings to the sales and marketing teams * Attend key retail, education, library, and special markets conferences to meet with key distributors and clients * Wide range of opportunity to pursue non-retail business development deals
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or Marketing or related field * Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be highly motivated, positive and outgoing * At least 5+ years of experience in merchandising or sales * Digital content experience a strong plus; Book publishing experience likewise a plus * Comfortable dealing with vendors and clients face-to-face. Must be familiar with online retail programs and offerings * Excellent organizational skills * Able to prioritize, manage projects, and meet deadlines * Ability to multitask * Self-starter * Ability to formulate and implement well thought out solutions to day-to-day issues with minimal supervision * Must be enthusiastic, high-energy, and professional * Team player that can thrive in a fast paced environment
