Summary
All of OnDeck runs on Big Data. The Credit Analytics team at OnDeck is responsible for the models and credit strategies that drive our success in the industry. Join our team of crack data scientists and credit strategists as we work to understand small business better than any other lender. Use innovative, out-of-box thinking and quantitative analysis to drive OnDeck’s customer management strategies across limit/exposure management, product features and returning customers, and build sophisticated models using all of OnDeck’s industry-dominating proprietary data to help us learn, grow, and win.
Responsibilities
* Bring your thinking, strategies, and ideas to advance our company’s values, unique culture, and vision for the future. Build innovative analytical solutions to drive better customer credit decisions in limit and exposure management. Ability to think logically and methodically about objective function, constraints, and form will put you ahead of the competition * Manage development and testing of new strategies alongside multiple stakeholders and technology teams with demonstrated ability and desire to work for the right solution for the customer and OnDeck * Leverage and manage complex predictive models and credit strategies to drive risk adjusted return and solutions that solve and/or improve an actual customer problem * Develop creative solutions to bring OnDeck’s analytical tools to new markets and products
Ideal Candidate
* 2-3 years of experience in credit risk management or in an analytical role. * Experience using SQL and R or Python (or similar scripting language) * A strong analytical background with experience/desire for innovating disruptive solutions * Ability to work well with a diverse group of people across different functions. * Strong communication and data visualization skills; comfort communicating complex analyses to a variety of audiences in English without resorting to code * Familiarity with statistical modeling, machine learning, and working with very large datasets. * Undergraduate degree in an analytical field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering or similar. Master’s degree a plus
