Summary

We are looking for a Director of Finance to help lead our rapidly expanding NYC based multi-national technology company.

Responsibilities
  • Overall responsibility for all Finance-related matters of all Omnigon companies worldwide
  • Support and coordination of Tax and IT-related matters
  • Responsible for the monthly reporting to Omnigon management (actual data and forecast) in line with the Company accounting policies and all applicable guidelines (e.g. planning instructions, treasury guidelines, etc.)
  • Communication and coordination of Finance matters.
  • Responsible for compliance of Financial Statements with GAAP, IFRS and all local regulations (statutory requirements, tax and legal)
  • Responsible for up-to-date Finance systems and processes in all Omnigon companies

Specific tasks

  • Lead and oversee Accounting, Controlling and Treasury functions across all Omnigon companies globally
  • Monitor accuracy, review, enforce and report projects percentage completion (POC) data
  • Ensure compliance of figures with IFRS and GAAP
  • Prepare quarterly reporting packages and financial statements for statutory and tax purposes
  • Liaison with external accountants and auditors globally
  • Prepare monthly management reports explaining past and predicting future performance of Omnigon Group companies
  • Prepare financial aspects of the Strategic Annual Plan while assuring accurate and complete financial planning across all company activities
  • Oversee and support day-to-day controlling matters, including:
  • Monthly forecasting and reporting across all divisions, projects, overhead costs and other financial items
  • Variance analysis
  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports to management team
  • Perform liquidity planning and cash flow analysis
  • Responsible for various Treasury-related matters, including:
  • Cash management and concentration
  • Identify and institute strategies for financial risks as well as contingent liabilities
  • Bank account management across all Omnigon companies
  • Establish and maintain local bank relationships
  • Establish and maintain regular communication and close cooperation across all local Finance Teams (foreign bookeepers, foreign accountants, etc.)
  • Ensure continuous improvements of finance processes/systems and professional development across all local Finance Teams
  • File tax returns and prepare VAT declarations and other tax-related statements in cooperation with external consultants
  • Proactively communicate and address all tax-relevant matters
  • Perform general administrative tasks (e.g. coordinate with IT, liason with insurance companies, address basic HR topics, etc.)
Ideal Candidate

Educational background:

  • Undergrad or higher required
  • Advanced degree in accounting a plus

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and/or controlling, in an international environment including a minimum of 5 years in CFO capacity working at organizations generating $50M+ in revenue, preferably in the Professional Services or Technology industries.

Skills & competencies:

  • Very good accounting and controlling knowledge
  • Good Finance system knowledge
  • Very strong technical skills (Excel, Finance tools)
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word)
  • Shows own initiatives and independent work style
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Able to pay close attention to detail while seeing the big picture
  • Capable of adapting to ever changing environment
  • Strategic thinker

Other requirements:

  • Interest in the sport and digital business
  • Strong attitude towards high quality, excellence in delivery and ‘client-first’ thinking (external & internal)

  • Ability to work closely with executive team and support other departmental needs.

Required Languages:

  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
