Platform Security Engineer

We are pioneering the concept of chronic disease prevention, which are educational and social interventions that help people avoid chronic disease. As a key member of our engineering team you will help design, build and maintain systems necessary to continue our rapid growth. You should be proactive in learning new technologies and be ready to lead technical work.

• Help the team design and implement solutions to mitigate compromise and abuse
• Architect and design secure cloud infrastructures and networks
• Protect our hosts and network against exploitation and privilege escalation
• Monitor production systems and investigate anomalous activity
• Automate the detection, monitoring and reporting of vulnerabilities
• Test systems, networks and applications to identify weaknesses

Strong candidates will have:

• Experience with AWS, ACLs, Security groups
• Experience with configuration management and automating IT infrastructure
• Cryptography and Linux/Ubuntu knowledge

• Ruby On Rails, Ansible
• Authentication and security protocols
• Exposure to HIPAA, NIST or other standards
• DDoS Mitigation solutions
• Automated Vulnerability scanners
• Intrusion detection systems and honeypots
• Understanding of access control systems and utilities
