Our LA office seeks a stellar Senior Account Executive with excellent pitching and media relations skills to join the Los Angeles based consumer marketing practice.
Responsibilities
* Work independently to implement the full spectrum of public relations tactics including writing press releases, pitching to news media, coordinating news conferences, arranging media tours, coordinating special events, preparing collateral materials, etc. * Interact with clients and vendor contacts in a professional demeanor at all times. * Set priorities utilizing good judgment and multi-tasking skills. * Understand overall client strategies and help develop strategies as needed by working with supervisor. * Work independently and manage day-to-day implementation of client activities. * Understand client goals and the firm’s strategic plans to meet those goals. * Respond appropriately and immediately to client requests and concerns, and keep clients informed of the status of projects. * Define client problems and creative challenges, stimulate and participate in brainstorming sessions, and evaluate creative ideas from clients and staff. * Supervise account work performed by account executives, assistant account executives and interns
Ideal Candidate
* Demonstrate mastery over all basic communication skills, including writing, proofing,editing, public speaking, media relations and pitching. * The ability to gain a comprehensive level of understanding of the accounts you work on, including their business, products, markets, personnel, outside influencers, etc. and be able to concisely convey this knowledge to the media and account team members. * Solid understanding of all public relations tools and be able to recommend a variety of strategies to your clients. * You should have between three and five years of agency experience and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Consumer Marketing experience strongly preferred
