Senior Scientist for Global Ingredient

Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. is an Agricultural Cooperative that is owned by more than 700 cranberry and grapefruit growers throughout the United States, Canada and Chile. Formed in 1930, Ocean Spray is now the world's leading producer of cranberry juices, juice drinks and dried cranberries and is the best-selling brand in the North American bottled juice category.

In this role the Senior Scientist will work closely with the Business Development and Marketing Teams to meet the technical and innovation needs of our Global Industrial customers. This individual will work on innovation projects that are grounded in customer insights that provide us a competitive advantage in the marketplace. This position requires strong collaboration skills and the person must work effectively in a team environment.

* Collaborate with Innovation Team and Foods PD team to help bring new ideas to market. * Operate as technical pillar of a three pillar cross-functional support team with Business * Development and Marketing. * Work with Business Development analysts and managers, agents and brokers as business * needs arise. Build and reinforce relationships with Product Development (PD) in special global accounts. * Participate in customer visits/technical sales calls. * Create prototypes/applications/ food design formulations for customers. * Create cranberry application/culinary presentations for customers, especially in * identified points of entry that will build cranberry awareness. * Assist marketing team with trade show strategy, design thinking and event planning. * Work closely with regulatory and customs compliance departments for specific customer needs and country specific ingredient development guidance.

* Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 to 4 years of related experience or advanced degree * with 1 to 2 years of related experience in the food industry. * Effectively communicates complex technical information in a clear and concise manner, * in both written and verbal forms, to audiences of differing technical understanding. * Consistently sets and demonstrates high expectations for personal and organizational * performance. * Utilizes data collection, analysis, and maintenance, application, and refinement methods to make * fact-based decisions in a timely manner. * Proficient in Word and Excel.
