Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. is seeking a Technology Director who will be responsible for setting the mission and vision of the IT organization for the future. The IT leader will direct all employees in Business Integration, Software Development, Information Security and IT transformation to attain Ocean Spray’s strategic business goals.
- Works with C-level executives to define the technology vision for the enterprise, and to identify the opportunities for differentiating IT capabilities and solutions.
- Responsible for the technology strategy – including driving technology innovation and assessing the change impact of various initiatives and work streams, creating communication plans, and identifying training required to increase organizational readiness for the IT changes.
- Lead execution of large scale IT program 60+ team members & project portfolio of ~$4mm
- Partner with internal customers to drive customer-oriented business & IT innovations to gain competitive business advantages
- Align sourcing, asset and service management strategy with business direction
- Leads the process to identify and evaluate internal technology asset capabilities and strengths. Assesses external opportunities and threats as key inputs to making the best decisions on business strategy given digital and business realities.
- Leads the development of the Enterprise Architecture strategy and technology road-map.
- Provides a single point of coordination and executive oversight for technology road-maps, initiatives and transformation projects.
- Ensures that the cooperative is developing the technology capabilities, assets and services that will be needed to survive and thrive in the midterm and long term.
- Acts as a champion and change agent in leading the organizational changes required to create and sustain end-user computing, enterprise collaboration, enterprise architecture and information security capabilities.
- Acts as a thought leader on emerging technologies, articulating the future and the enterprise's role in it internally and externally.
- Develop and exploit new business solutions and capabilities to create a competitive edge for the enterprise.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned technology professional with passion for technology and innovation. Experience providing strategic direction for core business platforms, including infrastructure and architecture, application customization and deployment, re-engineering business processes, and integrating systems is required. Paramount to the success of this role will be the ability to lead a collaborative team that partners strategically with the business while providing a high level of Customer Service.
Of critical importance is the ability to attract and recruit and retain the best talent, and simultaneously have the technical chops to ensure that we build mission critical IT solutions to enable the strategic vision. He/she will also have a proven ability to operate effectively in a complex, global environment. He or she will have a demonstrated ability to develop a vision, drive and manage the execution of that vision, and deliver top-tier results.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Ten plus years of experiencing leading technology solutions within a Consumer Packaged Goods or Retail organization
- Significant experience partnering and influencing C-Level executives on short and long-term technology solutions
- Customer focus and collaboration – understanding business practices in developing solutions that balance risk, security, and procedures while meeting business objectives
- Coaching, delegating and developing talent
- Communicating, listening and gathering information and insights to make appropriate recommendations
- Experience with Microsoft technology, ERP Software, SaaS/IaaS/PaaS, Security and Risk Management
