Summary
Under guidance from the Director of Marketing, the position is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of a business and is the prime mover of initiatives. The position is responsible for both the development and execution of annual brand marketing plans that drive profitable growth. The key metrics the brand marketing manager is responsible for meeting are: revenue growth, market share, fruit utilization and profit. The Brand Marketing Manager is expected to provide leadership both within the marketing function and across the enterprise for all opportunities and issues impacting the business. Responsible for overall management of strategic inputs to advertising, consumer promotions, and trade as well as the management of the brand P&L.
Responsibilities
* Develop annual marketing plans that meet the growth objectives of the organization. * Develop marketing personnel through coaching, appropriate supervision, and feedback. * Manage the advertising agency, where appropriate, and relevant third parties supporting the business. * Monitor and report on business performance monthly to senior marketing and corporate management. * Provide cross-functional leadership and direction to translate strategy into tactics and action. * Monitor all competitive activity and recommend actions as necessary to ensure achievement of revenue and market share goals. * Drive the Commercialization Strategies & Tactics for New Product Launches. * Owns the brand’s architecture and key consumer insights and for developing the brand brief. * Provides insights & recommendations to the development of the Long Range Plan. * Leads the Charter & Basis for Interest (BFI) process for new business opportunities including cost savings initiative
Ideal Candidate
* MBA degree required * 5+ years of experience in a consumer packaged goods brand management role. * Excellent decision making skills * Experience within a food or beverage company would be ideal. * Passion for marketing, are analytically oriented, ability to lead cross-functional teams, and have intellectual curiosity. * Excellent communication skills
