Quality Assurance Engineer for Cloud Technology

Our Mezzanine team is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer for a challenging position developing automation solutions for a variety of state of the art, next generation cloud technologies. Our Quality Assurance Engineer – Cloud Technology position will be intimately involved in qualifying new features of our ever-growing and evolving visual collaboration solutions. In particular, you will work with our exciting new cloud-based solutions and technologies. Our products are used at a wide variety of top-tier companies and organizations, and in this role you will be instrumental in building our testing infrastructure for our new cloud-based platforms and SaaS products. As a Cloud QA Engineer at Oblong, you will be challenged to grow every single day and see the real impact your contributions make to the final product.

* Design, write, and execute acceptance, performance, and regression tests * Convert technical and product requirements into use cases and test cases * Develop and implement test tools and test suites that will be used by our development and QA teams that enable us build and qualify our cloud platform * Identify, isolate, and document defects using Bugzilla while working closely with the development team on finding the right solution to these defects

**Basic Qualifications:** * 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance, automation engineer, SDET, or similar role involved in product development or production quality software through an entire product life cycle * Experience working with a cloud computing platform like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Compute Engine (GCE) (we use Google) * Must have experience with or be comfortable quickly becoming familiar with our technology stack which includes GCE, docker, kubernetes, nginx, go, SaltStack * Must have experience testing web services using RESTful APIs * Must be proficient with Unix command line tools like ssh, grep, awk, sed, vi, git, etc * Should have experience with implementing or developing load and performance test tools * Expertise in writing automated tests using Ruby, Python, Golang, Bash, and/or C/C++ **Preferred Qualifications:** * Expertise in network and network security technologies and tool sets * Experience working with and implementing solutions with open source software * Knowledge and experience testing cross browser and operating system compatibility on web and mobile platforms * Knowledge of standard video streaming technologies and solutions
