Build / Release Engineer

As a Build/Release Engineer on our Platform team, you have the exciting challenge of simplifying and expediting the processes involved in developing, testing, releasing and deploying not only a software SDK, but the ecosystem of tools and applications built alongside. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about making their co-developers lives easier and simpler. This is an onsite position based at our headquarters in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District.

* Keep our buildbots humming * Solve C++ build problems * Build scripts, tools, and other services to improve developer productivity. * Investigate upgrading to modern build strategies with Gitlab CI * Create platform dependent packages that work reliably (.deb, .pkg, .exe) * Add dynamic or static analysis to the build to look for bugs * Discover unrecognized needs and improve our automated build/test systems to meet them * Document developer processes

**Basic Qualifications:** * BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study * 3+ years experience shipping native desktop/server applications or extensive contributions to significant open-source projects * Comfortable with make, cmake, git and dpkg * Proficiency in C++ and POSIX shell programming * Comfortable at the command line with Linux, Mac, and Windows **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with Gitlab CI and/or buildbot * Familiarity with auto tools * Excellent writing skills and experience writing technical documentation
