- Use lean principles to improve and optimize both operational and business processes in our apparel distribution center.
- Manage multiple projects in a dynamic fast paced environment.
- Self-starter, will be needed to seek out opportunities for improvement and work with the distribution team to make the necessary changes
- Working with internal groups and guiding large diverse teams.
- Ensuring the process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output, in order to meet volume needs
- Ensuring that all aspects of an operation or process meet specified health & safety regulations.
- Understand the nature of continuous improvement pertaining to lean principles.
- Experience in using establishing productivity standards
The Qualifiers
- B.S. or higher in manufacturing/industrial/manufacturing engineering or 10+ years equivalent experience
- Good communication skills and ability to interface with related departments.
- Ability to work on broad range of assignments with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing to include Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving Technique's, Quality Control Systems, 5's, Waste Elimination, Change Management, Standardization, Benchmarking, Best Practice, Kaizen.
- Evidence of implementing Continuous improvements within large organizations.
- Ability to implement processes that have delivered MEASURABLE benefits on Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.
- Ability to coach and work with teams undertaking Continuous Improvement activities.
- Knowledge of systems / processes that ensure decisions are data driven.

- Experience in slotting and stock removal strategies
- Accuspeech Voice Picking experience
- SAP R3 and DWM Experience.
- Auto CAD experience
