Summary
The Maritime Program specialist (MPS) will provide overall coordination of Maritime training (including the setting up of training events, providing instruction and Diving Supervision). The Maritime Program specialist (MPS) will provide overall systems expertise (including maintenance and repair) and deployable expertise on all dive equipment. The primary responsibilities of the Maritime Program specialist shall be planning, budgetary and program management and systems integration functions required to procure, operate, and provide life cycle support to the specified technology based systems and projects.
Responsibilities
* Provide Diving Instruction * Provide Diving Supervision * Maintain Closed Circuit LAR V Draeger Rigs and any subsequent replacement Closed Circuit Rebreather. * Perform all scheduled maintenance * Maintain records of all maintenance performed on LAR V * Maintain all Open circuit dive gear to include, but not limited to: * Regulators * Buoyancy compensators * All air cylinders * Maintain all air compressors used for divers air (and all related equipment) * Maintain haskel (or similar) pumps used for divers oxygen (and all related equipment) * Maintain all personal flotation devices used by HRT * Maintain all exposure suits used for maritime ops * Maintain all dry suits and related gear for dry suit diving * Assist in maintaining accountability of all gear assigned to the diving locker * Assist other programs in the use and filling of oxygen and compressed air * Assist the Maritime Program Manager in defining requirements for diver equipment, manage equipment inventory, and planning budgetary requirements.
Ideal Candidate
* Graduate of military diver training * Graduate of Naval Special Warfare Diving Supervisor Course * Diving Instructor, qualified through Scuba School Instructional or equivalent * Effective oral and written communications. * Physically capable of prolonged standing and kneeling * Capable of operating small boats * Physically capable of climbing on, off and around b * Maintain all dive qualifications stated above.
