Direct Sales Representative

NSM Insurance Group has been developing, implementing, marketing and underwriting industry-specific insurance programs for niche markets for 25 years.

NSM Insurance Group is looking to build a strong Direct Sales team that will represent several of our products out in the marketplace. This position will work out of our Conshohocken, PA office and report directly to the Direct Sales Program Director. We are looking for highly motivated, driven young professionals who are looking to start a career in the Insurance industry

* Identify prospective customers for commercial insurance using traditional and innovative methods * Set appointments with prospective customers to discuss current and new insurance coverage * Tailor coverage to each specific insured exposure during quoting process * Develop and maintain relationships with business owners to facilitate high level of renewal business * Develop relationships with market partners to create efficient quoting process * Become product expert and industry resource that can make presentations at industry events * Service new and renewal business as needed * Meet goals for activity and productivity

* Bachelor degree or equivalent; 0-2 years of experience * Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence * A “go-getter mentality; very self-motivated * Effective communication skills, both written and oral (including group presentations) * Ability to function in a semi-autonomous environment and organize priorities efficiently * Strong ego-drive and willingness to overcome adversity in sales environment * Analytical skill to understand and write insurance coverage within guidelines * Must be able to obtain state P&C insurance license within 60 days and maintain during employment
