Responsibilities
* Overseeing coordination of project sites, and assists in the selection of subcontractors who work on various projects. * Reviewing the engineering and architectural drawings to ensure that all regulations and specifications are being followed with the assigned project EPCs. * Responsibility for proper construction team oversight, and administration of established contract language across the portfolios projects. * Tracking and monitoring the EPC subcontractors on multiple concurrent construction schedules and the associated costs, for achieving project completion within the budget and time allotted. * Reporting to the senior management on the progress of a projects and necessary modifications that has to be executed. * Supervising schedules that are related to the daily construction issues of a project. * Reviewing progress reports, checking on reported difficulties and correcting any safety violation or other deficiencies with the onsite EPC team. * Escalates project economic issues and concerns to senior management. * Training of staff to the Overall Program Directives established by management and maintaining accountability for the ongoing programs. * Escalates Scheduling Impacts and issues to senior management. * Escalates Milestone Achievement Issues both financially and in regards to project schedules. * Requires management of concurrent projects geographically; and establishes the priorities and also determines resource allocation for the effective and efficient delivery of multiple projects and project portfolios simultaneously. * Ensures information is always current in the project tracking tool, DBOP, as it pertains to the Construction project phases. * Managing related internal software programs for tracking and approvals.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, construction or building science or relevant field of study. Directly relevant experience over a sustained period of time may be considered a suitable replacement for the Bachelor’s Degree. * 4-6 years relevant work experience on multiple concurrent projects. * Broad practical related construction experience. * Renewable energy experience is desirable. * Experience in handling personnel, IBEW relationships, EPCs, Electricians, contracts and trades. * Ability to handle all the challenges that are connected to the project and the willingness to work as needed for successful projects completion. * At any given time, the Sr Project Manager, Construction will need to address multiple issues simultaneously that demand pertinent attention while providing guidance to the project team. * 30-75% travel as needed. * Maintaining Client and Vendor Relationships in a professional atmosphere. * Ability to manage diverse situations while maintaining professional decorum within the team.
