Information Technolgy Help Desk Technician

NRDC is seeking an IT Technician to work with the Information Technology team in support of our Santa Monica office.

• Provide help desk support for staff, manage and support client systems Windows and Mac, including troubleshooting through to resolution
• Serve as the first-tier level of support for all computing or network problems encountered by the staff
• Assist Site Managers in monitoring and reporting the state of the network and computer equipment
• Administer user accounts and access rights
• Diagnose and maintain local systems inventory, system deployments, replacements and rollouts
• Assist Site Managers and Operations and Support Manager with preparing and maintaining systems documentation
• Maintain NRDC IT’s policies and standards
• Train users on system usage, procedures and protocols

• 3 -5 years of desktop/laptop support experience for both Windows and Mac Operating systems
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365
• 1-2 years of networking experience
• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent judgment and decision making skills
• Ability to identify and implement process and policy improvements
• VMWare experience a plus
• Microsoft System Center experience a plus
