Summary
NRDC is seeking an IT Technician to work with the Information Technology team in support of our Santa Monica office.
Responsibilities
* Provide help desk support for staff, manage and support client systems Windows and Mac, including troubleshooting through to resolution * Serve as the first-tier level of support for all computing or network problems encountered by the staff * Assist Site Managers in monitoring and reporting the state of the network and computer equipment * Administer user accounts and access rights * Diagnose and maintain local systems inventory, system deployments, replacements and rollouts * Assist Site Managers and Operations and Support Manager with preparing and maintaining systems documentation * Maintain NRDC IT’s policies and standards * Train users on system usage, procedures and protocols
Ideal Candidate
* 3 -5 years of desktop/laptop support experience for both Windows and Mac Operating systems * Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365 * 1-2 years of networking experience * Strong Customer Service Skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Strong organizational skills * Excellent judgment and decision making skills * Ability to identify and implement process and policy improvements * VMWare experience a plus * Microsoft System Center experience a plus
