Director of Experience and Design

Novu is looking for a talented and passionate Director of Experience and Design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience leading strategy and execution in a collaborative setting. They will conceive and lead strategy in the context of user needs and business goals, leading the UX/UI team to design solutions for our platform. This position reports to the Vice President of Product and will work closely with leaders across the business. The position will lead and grow a preexisting team, lead early stage product ideation, and represent Novu’s products directly in front of new and existing clients.

* Lead and grow Novu’s UX/UI team, with an emphasis on team building and talent management * Concept new features and improvements to our existing user experience across channels in collaboration with others * Plan and manage resources for on-time, iterative delivery in a fast-paced, Agile development model. * Represent Novu’s products, as well as the UX/UI team’s work at the highest levels of the business and in front of clients * Effectively support and engage Sales, Account Management, Marketing and Technology teams beyond Product

* UX and Design Director-level experience, preferably in an Agile software development company focused on consumer facing web products * 6+ years of professional experience * Expert knowledge of design software, tools, resources and modern standards * Comfortable with ambiguity, change and rapid iteration * Examples of work demonstrating significant and successful involvement with product development projects that have been scaled to large audiences * Self-motivated leader and problem solver who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively * Excellent facilitator and communicator * Healthcare experience, experience delivering consumer-facing software products in regulated industries, or experience with B2B2C models is encouraged but not required
