Summary
To provide strategic leadership, advice and expertise on the social media strategy and resourcing needed to achieve strategic business objectives across all Novartis Businesses and Divisions in Latin America and Canada
Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership and consulting services for integrated Digital & Social Media strategies across Novartis group businesses in the region. • Guide and oversee decisions on development and access to services and provide expert support for content, creative, listening, and agency selection and management. • Act as primary point of contact to businesses and develop a productive and collaborative relationship between assigned units and the Digital & Social Media team • Proactively share expertise and identify Digital & Social opportunities and risks to build competitive advantage for clients • Ensure appropriate allocation of resources to deliver key projects and initiatives on time. Improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units in achieving their specific objectives • Lead cross functional project teams to deliver key projects and initiatives • Drive innovation through collaboration across the functions to continually improve communications and Social Media impact
Ideal Candidate
**Education/Experience (minimum/desirable):** • Bachelor’s or equivalent 4-Year university degree required. Advanced degree preferred. • > 10 Years experience in communications and/or social media, ideally in agency, consulting, or multinational corporate environment • Extensive experience in Digital & Social Media, communications, and relationship management, preferably within a regulated industry (e.g. Pharma/Healthcare, Airlines, Banking, etc.) **Languages:** • Fluent English and Spanish required (bilingual) **Knowledge & Skill Requirements:** • Strong expertise in all current and emerging social media platforms and tools required to develop an integrated digital and social media strategy • Demonstrated track record of strategic leadership in social media strategy • Deep knowledge of industry trends in social media • Strong understanding of social media data analysis and ability to gain insights to improve effectiveness • Demonstrated track record of business partnering and consulting skills • Ability to interact with and influence senior leadership across businesses and functions • Knowledge of social media regulatory environment as it applies to healthcare and pharmaceutical environment preferred • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously • Demonstrated ability to lead virtual cross-functional team • Ability to manage stakeholders and influence across a cross-functional matrix organization • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills - Ability to adapt style to communicate at all levels of the organization. • Proactive, entrepreneurial approach to recognizing needs and anticipating issues and solving problems • Strong project management and resource allocation skills • Adaptability and flexibility – willingness to take on new assignments outside of responsibilities
