ICC Special Inspector

Established in 1996, NOVA was originally founded to provide Environmental Consulting, Geotechnical Engineering, and Construction Materials Testing and Inspection services to the design and construction community, primarily in the Eastern United States. NOVA Group Services LLC, a Delaware corporation, is the parent company of NOVA Quality Assurance Consulting Services, and NOVA Engineering and Environmental, which are the operating companies serving our Clients today.

We are currently seeking commercial ICC certified Special Inspectors and Florida Threshold Representatives for our offices in the above metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs).

• Primary duties will include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (soils, masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, post-tensioning, fireproofing, etc.).
• Successful candidates must perform on site observations/inspections to confirm compliance with the local building code and project contract documents, collect samples per ASTM & project requirements, perform specific QA/QC tests on construction materials and building components per ASTM, ACI, etc. standards, and maintain detail records of observations, inspections and test results.

• ICC Certifications in Soils, Structural Concrete, Post-tensioning, Masonry, Fireproofing (preferred candidate would have all 5 certifications, but all are not absolutely required) or a degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university
• ACI Level I (minimum) for concrete sampling/testing, or the ability to secure such
