Senior Systems Analyst

Provides project planning activities, configures software applications, and coordinates related activities to support technology projects. Participates in application support and systems development. Assists management in the development and implementation of long and short range plans and strategies.

1. Collaborates with management in software evaluation and implementation to support hospital information systems including clinical and finance applications. 2. Defines, coordinates and evaluates special projects. Monitors project plans with users and vendors. Identifies and documents project related risks and issues; documents and communicates project statuses timely and accurately. 3. Ensures systems are implemented and supported according to best practice. 4. Participates in testing activities, evaluation, and upgrade activities. 5. Develops and maintains systems and procedures manual for department. 6. Provides guidance and assistance from systems users and support staff. 7. Serves as key team member, participates in the development of long and short range plans and strategies, of existing and new technology, for systems support and implementation. 8. Works with management ensures corporate support systems are effective and appropriately utilized. 9. Collaborates with ancillary departments ensures critical patient care values are interfaced to clinical repository and imaging systems. 10. Performs related duties, as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or related field, required. • Minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible systems development and implementation experience, required.
