Medical Simulation Tech

The MEDICAL SIMULATION TECHNICIAN ensures facility and simulation equipment are set-up for teaching sessions. Provides technical support for all simulation operations, including preparation, maintenance and repair of computerized manikins. Provides clerical support to the PSI department.

1. Provide technical support for all equipment involved in simulation center operation. • Troubleshooting both hardware and software systems, networking, and basic maintenance of simulation equipment. 2. Monitor simulation center inventory and report shortages. 3. Monitor simulation center equipment and report malfunctions. 4. Participate in technical training and attend conferences / seminars to stay current with simulation technology. 5. Collaborate in team evaluation of new equipment. • Identify opportunities for technological improvements in healthcare education. 6. Participate in post simulation debriefing sessions 7. Performs related duties, as required

* Bachelor's Degree, required. * Bachelor's Degree in Health or Computer related field, preferred. * Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software, preferred. * Proficiency in Microsoft applications, internet use, computer literacy and ability to learn and support operations of simulation center, required. * Basic medical knowledge, preferred. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, required. * Occasional heavy physical lifting and moving of equipment.
