Manager, Data Research

The Manager, Data Research collects, organizes and monitors data required by the Principal and Co-Principal Investigators. Interacts with Investigators and study participants in coordinating data collection. Verifies data with medical records. Ensures submission of data within specified timeframes.

1. Develops, compiles and analyzes reports and creates systems to ensure the collection of data. 2. Ensures completeness and accuracy of patient records as established in guidelines of each project approved by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). 3. Collects, organizes and monitors data as required. Extracts patient clinical data from medical records or other sources containing patient clinical data. Verifies all data to the patient's medical record. 4. Maintains communication with the Principal and Co-Principal Investigators to ensure accuracy of data. 5. Ensures submission of data within specified timeframes. 6. Maintains quality of data to meet statement requirements. 7. Presents patient specific issues to the Quality Management Committee for resolution of conflicts. 8. Maintains consistency and integrity of data collection. Reports concerns regarding data integrity to the Principal and Co-Principal Investigators. 9. Serves as a resource person to staff in developing and analyzing systems needed to obtain information or statistics vital to the research project. 10. Advises nurses who are delinquent in completing aspects of clinical record necessary for billing to occur. 11. Performs related duties, as required.

**Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in Basic Sciences or related field, required. * Minimum of two (2) years progressively responsible related work experience, including knowledge of research methods, basic statistics and data analysis
